Andy and Terry Garcia are passionate about connecting with, loving, and investing in people. They have gained broad experience in various areas of ministry, bringing a well-rounded background to Compass Church. Andy has served as Lead Teacher, Student Ministry Pastor, Worship Pastor, and Counselor.  They are excited about the unfolding story God continues to write for them as they walk and live for Jesus. They have been married for 21 years and have been blessed with a wonderful family. Their daughter, Jamie, is married to Steve and has three kids: Mercy, Tytan, and Lincoln. Emilee is married to Reno and has a son named Dawson, while Kelsey is married to her husband Kavika. Andy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministry and has spent a year working toward a Master’s in Theology at Talbot Theological Seminary. Andy and Terry enjoy hosting guests at their home, traveling to explore new destinations, and attending live theatre and concerts. 

Our Associate Pastor, Olu, oversees the children and the youth ministry. He has been married to his lovely wife since 2016 and they have a beautiful daughter named Evelyn and another little girl on the way! Olu and Deanna have been involved in children's ministry for many years through Child Evangelism Fellowship and Olu is the Local Director for the Ventura County Chapter. Although Olu studied Industrial Chemistry back in college, his passion has always been working with children and youth and seeing them grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. God is using Olu's experience of growing up in Africa and now being an American citizen as an opportunity to reach people of different cultural backgrounds with the gospel. Olu has been involved in several different ministries such as a halfway house ministry, being on the praise and worship team, training others on how to effectively teach children, directing children's ministry, and being a certified mentor for many years, but felt the Lord calling him to go into full-time ministry in 2019. Olu and Deanna enjoy board games, movies, going to the beach, trying new foods, and, of course, playing with their little girl, Evelyn. Olu loves playing soccer, ping-pong, and chess.

Steve, the former lead pastor at Compass Church, has a passion for sharing the good news of the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, and the joys of following Him. His role at Compass is to provide care and support to the Compass community, assist pastoral staff, and contribute to leadership development. Steve holds degrees from Northwest University, Christian Associates Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Master's University Graduate School. Steve and his wife, Lynne, have been married for 49 years and have three adult children and nine grandchildren. Steve and Lynne enjoy spending time together, talking, and holding hands. On the wild side, Steve enjoys the open road on his motorcycle with fellow “biker pastors.”
